Domains: Nature, Peace, Twilight
Titles: The Lord of the Forest, the Hunter
Often perceived to be the most gentle of the Eleven, Artemi is the eternal preserver, acting only when the natural order of the world is disrupted. They are nature; all of its beauty, and its horrors. They are the vulture that devours a carcass, they are the flower that blooms at the height of spring. They are nature's protector and its avenger. In tribes that worship Artemi, their word for they and nature is one in the same. As enigmatic as Kophos and as wrathful as Keratis, Artemi embodies the best and worst aspects of the rest of the Eleven as a result of their domain. Nature in and of itself is predictable and unpredictable, changing and unchanging, acting and reacting.
Artemi shares these traits, for they are nature. While they bear no inherent scorn against mankind, they know full well how dangerous of a force mankind can be. Artemi keeps their blades sharp, poised and positioned for a counterattack should their hallowed ground be broken.
Those who wish to become a cleric of Artemi may use the following domains: Nature, Peace, and Twilight.
Nature. Nature is Artemi. Artemi is nature. To understand one is to understand the other; to fear one is the fear the other. While they may share different names in Common, they are one in the same in the grand scheme of Auria and its cosmology.
The Wild. The Wild is the brief moment just before the fury of Artemi. It is where life bends but does not break, where death creeps like a panther stalking its prey.
The Hunt. Inciting the Hunt is the swiftest way to have one's thread sliced by Corva herself. The Hunt is vengenace given form by Artemi. A mythological clan of Artemi's champions and warriors, the Hunt will stop at nothing to bring justice to those that dare transgress upon the grounds of Artemi.
To worship Artemi is to give the Wild and Nature the same respect and honor as one's most loved individual, to ensure that the natural order of the world is not pervaded or desecrated by unholy magics, to provide for nature in the same way that it provides for you. By performing such acts or behaving in such manners, you further the influence of Artemi and deepen your connection to them.
To go against this philosophy, to repeatedly insult and desecrate nature, to not show respect to the animals of the wild, to go against the natural order of the world goes against all that Artemi represents. By performing such acts or behaving in such a manner, you lessen the influence of Artemi and weaken your connection to them.
