That’s just the thing. I am whatever I need to be.
Not a singular creature but instead a collection of them, the Faceless were recruited by Auril nearly fifteen millennia ago. Individually, they do not hold much power, but it is their collective identity that grants them divine status.
These shapeshifting creatures are masters of imitation and infiltration, used by Auril to subtly influence worlds across Ved. So great is their ability to don the appearance, personality, mannerisms, and identity of another creature that they are supposedly capable of even fooling Corva herself.
Appearance. When not shapeshifted, the appearance of a Faceless is a hairless, featureless humanoid with milky white skin and no immediately discernable gender.
The Faceless’ domains are SPEECH & ELOQUENCE, and SUBTERFUGE & DISGUISE.
SPEECH & ELOQUENCE: The Faceless are among the greatest wordsmiths, both orally and in writing. Their ability to copy and mimic the words, the speech pattern, the language, and the cadence of another is unmatched.
SUBTERFUGE & DISGUISE: Among their strengths with their words, the Faceless are peerless at disguise. They can adopt entire personalities and identities, mannerisms and ticks, and quirks and instabilities in mere moments. The strength of this adoption only grows the longer they observe the target.
Backstabbing. A Faceless infiltrates the party, and over time, asks them to fulfill a request: to kill another Faceless.
