Titles: The Twin Heroes, the Ascended
Kyreia and Kleios are an enigma at best, and a fractured moment of history at worst. Their origins are unknown, their identity is unknown, but their presence is universally felt and understood, especially for the Ascended. They embody the very identity of the Ascended, from their source of purpose to the absolute height of their aspirations. Kyrei and Kleios are the penultimate example of the Hero, of what it means to be a hero, whether to yourself or to those around you. They represent all that Ascended should strive to be, but are coincidentally the Ten's best-kept secret.
The Ascended are expected to sacrifice themselves, to pay the ultimate price, should the need arise, as Kyreia once did. The Ascended are expected to be nothing but loyal to the Kingdom and its people, as Kleios learned to be.
Those who wish to become a cleric of Kyreia and Kleios may use the following domains: All
The Ascended. The Two Heroes oversee all Ascended, and are their patron deity, presiding over each and every Ascended. They are the shield that protects the Ascended; they are the overseers that guide the Ascended; they are the lessons that are imparted onto the Ascended. They are the long road that every Ascended must walk. They are the strife and pains that every Ascended must endure. They are the victories and triumphs that every Ascended champion. The Two Heroes are grafted into the lives of all Ascended, and in some way— however small or large— shape the future of the Ascended.
Sacrifice. To be an Ascended is to know sacrifice. The expectations and the responsibilities placed onto the shoulders of all Ascended are immense, and all who are Ascended— even all those who are not— know and understand this. Sacrifice is a natural part of being an Ascended, and Kyreia imparts this knowledge to all Ascended.
Loyalty. To be an Ascended is to know loyalty. Loyalty to yourself and your friends, your Kingdom and its people, and to Auria at large. Kleios knows and understands loyalty, and knows the dangers that come with not knowing where true loyalties lie. This is the wisdom that he shares with the Ascended, and Kleios does his utmost to ensure that an Ascended's loyalties are always known to them.
Kyreia and Kleios are not explicitly worshipped through litanies and prayers, or holidays and celebratory events. However, they are worshipped idly. Kyreia and Kleios are, in and of themselves, embodied within each of the Ascended. Their journey, their failures, and their successes are all ways in which one worships or pays homage to Kyreia and Kleios.
To worship Kyreia and Kleios is to worship the identity, the duty, and all that comes with the Ascended— with being an Ascended. You must be loyal. You must know sacrifice. And you must fulfill your duties to the people and the Kingdoms. By performing such acts or behaving in such manners, you further the influence of Kyreia & Kleios and deepen your connection to them.
To go against this philosophy, to ignore your duties as an Ascended, to be unloyal, and to not know and understand sacrifice goes against all that Kyreia and Kleios represent. By performing such acts or behaving in such manors, you lessen the influence of Kyreia and Kleios and weaken your connection to them.
