Domains: Twilight, Grave
Titles: The Duskbringer, the Shadow, Lady of Shadows, Nocturna
The second child of the Twin Celestials, Diana is the shadows and the darkness that pervades Auria when the sun disappears beyond the horizon and the moon rises to the sky. She is dusk. She is night. She is the moon itself. In the shadowed lands of nightmares, Diana appears as a veiled woman with horns that twist upwards, a pair of raven's wings remain folded at her hips like a skirt of black feathers. Diana is frequently in constant struggle with Avrina. She seeks to sew fear, doubt, and suffering— but her intention through these actions is to instill understanding into mortalkind. Diana is fear incarnate, for the night houses mankind's deep and dreaded fears. Diana is the shadow that seeps into every crevice, and wherever her sister's light shines, she is not far behind.
Diana's demiplane is known as the Chamber of Dusk. Her alignment is Neutral Evil.
Those who wish to become a cleric of Diana may use the following domains: Twilight, Grave
The Moon. To observe the moon is the observe Diana. To understand one is to understand the other, for they are inextricably linked; from the moon's silver light that cuts through true darkness, to its branding light that scorches all those who anger it.
Night. With the night, comes Diana, bringing shadow to Auria and covering it in darkness once more. It is believed that she rides atop the moon, carrying it through the sky and eventually setting it down beyond the horizon, only to begin the process once more the next dusk.
Fear. Fear has existed as one with the night. The darkness hides dangers, but it does not hide their echoing effect on all those who wander through the shroud of shadows that is the night.
Nightmares. The strange land of nightmares is Diana's true domain. It is the space that she holds equal control over with her twin sister, Avrina. The two represent the oldest ideas of mortalkind, and have existed since they have dared to dream.
Many of those who travel during the night pray to Diana for safe passage through her territory. While she is not strictly worshipped, there are those who pay her a great deal of respect, and these individuals are few and far between, not wanting to enter a deep connection with a deity whose very being is tied to all that they fear.
To worship Diana is to worship the night, to embrace your fears and find the courage to overcome them, and to instill that same courage in those that surround you. You must be courageous. You must be open to change. You must be humble. By performing such acts or behaving in such manners, you further the influence of Diana and deepen your connection to her.
To go against this philosophy, to be fearful, to be unchanging, to be prideful goes against all that Diana represents. By performing such acts or behaving in such a manner, you lessen the influence of Diana and weaken your connection to her.
