The Daughter of Twinned Greeds, the Lady of Desire, and the Sin Eater, Zeshar is the source of two of mortalkind’s greatest temptations: Avarice and Lust. Proven to be a capable warrior of the ancient Raniiran Empire, the goddess Avrina blessed her with radiant strength and abilities. During the first few centuries of the First War, Zeshar led armies against the Spirit Beasts.
However, when she realized that her powers— powers that came from the gods themselves— did nothing, her actions changed. If not even the power of the gods could save them, what chance did her and her soldiers have? She commanded her soldiers to focus on looting, pillaging, and taking every last resource for themselves before going into hiding.
It went well, for a time. Yet Zeshar failed to see that the only people more vengeful than humans were the gods themselves. Avrina’s wrath rained down upon Zeshar and her people, blasting them into blackened ashes deep beneath the sands; and Zeshar remained sealed there, until Ichor freed her.
Appearance. A warrior of the Raniiran Empire, Zeshar typically appears as a cloaked and lightly armored woman with braided black hair, warm, brown skin, and eyes as gold and yellow as the sand dunes of the Arashik Sea. Decorating her right arm is a magnificent and intricate gauntlet of interlocking plates made of brass and gold.
Zeshar’s domains are AVARICE and LUST.
AVARICE: The final goal of all conquest: greed. It is a path that Zeshar knows intimately, and one that she once walked herself. Avarice, to Zeshar, stretches beyond the material. Mortals greedily desire ideas and concepts just as frequently as they do silver or gold
LUST: At its extremes, Zeshar is the tempting, screaming voice that spurs even the most logical individuals to debase themselves at the altars of her domains. Yet in most situations, Zeshar’s presence is subtle. A gentle touch on the lower back, a single finger sliding up the side of the neck, a thumb stroking a chin— all Zeshar’s work.
Bandit King. A criminal tyrant has risen in the hinterlands of a local town, raiding caravans and kidnapping villagers. The townsfolk whisper that the tyrant has been blessed by Zeshar herself, granting them power and strength beyond a normal bandit. The heroes must put a stop to the bandit king’s raids!
“Rob others of strength, treasure, and power.”
“Indulge in your basest desires, accept them as part of you.”
“Chase material and bodily wealth.”
