How sweet of the Architect to extend an invitation for me to partake in the writing of this supplement, as they call it. I will endeavor to make the most of this invitation, and as such, I have taken up the task of telling my own story. Of speaking my truth.
Kindly, my dear Architect, thank you for this exceedingly rare opportunity. I will be eternally grateful for it.
A shame that I am only permitted such small stanzas to accurately describe myself; I have so much to say. My origins, much like that of the rest of my dear family, are filled with spite and hatred towards the Nine in how they wronged us so terribly before. Many would consider me petty for holding such a grudge; I disagree. I am merely being consistent.
The Nine are cruel— as they have always been— and I am merely returning that cruelty. Beyond that my involvement with the mortals of Auria is never done without their understanding. They know differences between lies and truths; they know the illogical and unbeatable sensations and feelings of love or lack thereof. I am what they have always wished me to be: myself.
Perhaps in the advent of this tome’s consumption, you will find wisdom in my words.
Appearance. Revealing my true form to those beyond my family is uncommon. I choose to take on forms familiar to my followers, from those they have lied to or those that have lied to them, those they loved or those that loved them once before. But rarely, when I am feeling particularly vulnerable, I show my true form. A hairless, scarred elven woman with deep hazel eyes and thin lips, wearing a simple black and white evening gown paired with an onyx cloak.
My thrones are DECEIT and LOVE. Words and feelings that stir the greatest emotions in mortalkind, from deep betrayal to undying devotion. I am the well within their souls, the salt of their tears, the taste of deceit on their tongues, and the skipped beats of their heart.
Temptations and Sin. A player character’s old flame returns to them, seeking their aid. They extend a task to the player character, to acquire or steal back an artifact for them. This artifact is tied to Ornessa, and the goddess is merely posing as mortal.
“Convince others that your lies are the truth.”
“Love is what you make it, as true or as fictional as you desire.”
“Believe as you wish to believe. Truth is subjective, so long as you can prove it.”
