La Riaza

More colloquially known as “Riaza” or “the Riaza,” Riazan people all share a range of negative emotions towards the Ascended. From general distaste to outright hatred, Riazans claim that they understand the true dangers that the Ascended pose— and have posed in the past. They frequently cite the ascension of the Wicked Six, around four-hundred years ago, and the following Spellblight as the main impetus for their dislike of the Ascended. 

As a people, Riazans place great value on being cosmopolitan, educated, and well-spoken. Nearly every village, and certainly every town and city, has a school or several schools. The most prominent and famous of these schools is the University, located in Peonia de la Mar, the capital city of La Riaza.
